As part of her introduction, the Senior Planning Officer reported to the Sub-Committee that planning permission for this development site had already been granted under 2017/0080 and the Sub-Committee was therefore asked to consider whether compliance with conditions 8 (Noise Attenuation) and 21 (Acoustic Assessment) of planning permission 2018/2529 had been successfully met.
The Sub-Committee noted that no objections had been raised raised from Sports England, however they sought to ensure that the proposed mitigation measures would not fall within the responsibility of the tennis club to maintain. The Sub-Committee was advised that the developer had agreed to the maintain the proposed new structures, equipment and machinery for the period of 12 months, and after this time, the maintenance would fall within the responsibility of the landlord.
The Senior Planning Officer reported that the Environmental Noise Assessment that had been carried out, achieved a limitation of noise levels, and confirmed that noise levels to the nearest neighbouring properties would be acceptable.
Therefore, the Sub-Committee, having reviewed the relevant material considerations, resolved to
Confirm Compliance with Conditions: 8 (Noise Attenuation Scheme) and 21 (Noise/Acoustic Assessment) of planning permission 2018/2529.
