Notice of Motion

To consider the following Notice of Motion:

‘For several years now, the Council has supported the Small Business Saturday initiative as part of its commitment to supporting the local economy and our fantastic independent businesses.  This year the event falls on Saturday 1 December, and I'd ask the Council to show its support for Elmbridge High Street Shops and Businesses, by agreeing to provide free parking for the day in our main and local car parks in our towns and villages.  As in previous years I will also be agreeing three additional free parking events for the week preceding Christmas.  Therefore, I propose that free parking is provided in our local and main car parks on Saturday 1 December, to support the Small Business Saturday initiative in Elmbridge.’
